+What if I need to study entirely online?

While we’re looking forward to welcoming you to Durham and offering in-person teaching on campus, we recognise that a small number of students will have particular health risks or may not be able to travel. So, as a backup, we will make it possible for you to register for online study.

We offer a number of programmes with professional accreditation, at undergraduate and postgraduate level, where the requirements of the relevant accrediting bodies may mean that we are not able to offer some or all teaching online. We also offer some programmes which involve essential practical work that cannot be undertaken remotely.

More specific detail for your programme will be provided to you in due course. If you think you may need to study entirely online, please contact our Admissions team in the first instance.
