FAQs for applicants and future students
How is Durham University supporting the national and international Covid-19 response?
The ongoing coronavirus outbreak continues to mean huge changes for us as a University, but as well as adapting how we teach, study and work, we are increasingly contributing to the local, national and international effort against the pandemic.
We are accommodating ‘critical workers’ in our Colleges who would otherwise be unable to commute due to their shift patterns or the distances involved.
Our experts are offering advice on topics including how to avoid falling victim to a scam during COVID-19 and how businesses can adapt to the radically different economic environment created by the outbreak.
Some of our bioscientists are helping with coronavirus testing at a local hospital and some of our technicians are making personal protective equipment for health workers. We have also loaned five qPCR machines to local hospitals to speed up virus testing.
