+I am an undergraduate applicant and my examinations/assessments have been cancelled. How will the University confirm my offer?

We know how hard you have worked for your qualifications and understand that this is an extremely worrying time for all applicants from the UK and abroad. Our focus over the coming weeks and months is to ensure that we are operating the fair, consistent and transparent admissions process which we have always done, and will be taking on board the advice and guidance provided to us by professional organisations in the UK and overseas as we formulate our response to the cancellation of examinations and assessments.

On 3 April Ofqual advised us that grades for GCSE, AS and A level examinations would be calculated following consideration of two pieces of evidence schools and colleges are being asked to send to exam boards. You can read the letter addressed to all GCSE, AS and A level students on the Ofqual website.

Durham will accept grades published in the summer as evidence of you meeting the conditions of your offer, but we are still working through exactly what that process will be. We will update you once this is finalised, but in the meantime you may find the following websites helpful:
