A message of welcome from our Vice-Chancellor to our new and returning students

Health and safety on campus

The health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, students and local community is our priority.

We have developed effective and flexible health and safety plans, informed by UK government guidance, that will enable us to meet the challenges posed by Covid-19 in a changing environment.

Visit our what to expect on campus page to find out more.

We will deliver as much face to face teaching as we safely can, maximising the use of space on campus and reviewing our timetable each term.

We want to ensure that you get the maximum benefit from face to face contact with lecturers, and we are prioritising high-value interactions, for example discussion groups and workshops. Read our frequently asked questions to find out more.

Colleges and wider student experience

Our colleges will be open and looking forward to welcoming students to Durham.

Student enrichment activity from sport, to the arts and culture and volunteering, will take place face to face wherever possible.

Student Support and Wellbeing Services will be available in person and online to maximise accessibility.
