I am a lecturer in the Law school at Northumbria. I teach legal history. I am researching for a PhD at Newcastle university on the life and work of the nineteenth century coroner for Newcastle. I have presented at conference recently on lives trials and executions in nineteenth century newcastle. My general research interests are in micro historical approaches to legal history of the Norh East.
