Paul Fleet

Paul Fleet is Lecturer in Music in the School of Arts and Cultures at Newcastle University. Paul's research interests within the Nineteenth-Century are in regard to composers from this period and in particular during the fin-de-siecle. Composers include Ferruccio Busoni, Carl Nielsen and Alexander Scriabin. I am not only interested in the music of these composers but also their aesthetics beliefs, and the interrelation of the two. Paul's recent publications include: Fleet P. Ferruccio Busoni: A Phenomenological Approach to his Music and Aesthetics. Cologne, Germany: Lambert Academic Publishing, 2009.
