Frances Spalding

Frances Spalding is an art historian, biographer and critic, with a specialist interest in modern British art and culture. Her recent books include John Piper, Myfanwy Piper: Lives in Art and Prunella Clough: regions unmapped. She is currently curating an exhibition on Virginia Woolf for the National Portrait Gallery and is Professor of Art History at Newcastle University.
