University Explained, Parent and Carer Event
Saturday 4 November, 9.30am – 2.15pm, Durham University
This information day is aimed at the parents and carers of students in Year 10, Year 11 or Year 12 (first year of college), but is open to anyone who would like to find out more about higher education.
We understand that it's not just students who need support when considering university. Parents and carers often have just as many questions about the decisions their child/ward is making regarding higher education and most importantly, whether their decisions are the right ones.
University Explained is a collaborative event which is jointly run by the North East Raising Aspiration Partnership and the five North East universities. It can help you to support your child/ward in the decisions they will have to make about their post-16 options. The programme will provide relevant information about higher education, in addition to the five universities in the North East, and give you some pointers to consider. The event also provides you with the opportunity to tailor the programme to best suit your needs by offering a range of optional informal sessions to ensure your questions are answered and that you know what you can do next to support your child/ward should they choose to apply to University.
If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to call the North East Raising Aspiration Partnership on 0191 208 3128.
