Since 2018, the Foundation Programme has been organising a week-long, partially funded study visit to the Czech Republic for a group of foundation students. The trip usually takes place in the Easter break (subject to staff and funding availability) and includes a three-night stay in Prague followed by a study visit to the Faculty of Education at Palacky University in Olomouc. During this study visit, foundation students have an opportunity to present their academic posters at the Connecting Research Communities (CRC) international student conference, providing an overview of their research projects undertaken as a part of the Advanced Scholarship in Higher Education, a compulsory module for all Foundation Programme students. Foundation Programme staff members also contribute to the exchange of research through delivery of workshops to the hosting students and staff.
In 2023, Foundation and MA Programme will be hosting students from Faculty of Education at Palacky University in Olomouc as part of blended mobility programme.
