Fairtrade Fortnight 2017
This year's Fairtrade Fortnight took place from 27th February to 12th March, and provided the opportunity for all University staff and students to find out more about Fairtrade and how they can support it. The University has been accredited by the Fairtrade Foundation since 2007.
This year's Greenspace Fortnight incorporated celebrating the national Fairtrade Fortnight.
The key event of Durham University's Fairtrade Fortnight was our University-wide Big Fairtrade Bake.
Get together with your Durham University friends or colleagues and share your Fairtrade Bake. (Please note that sign up for free ingredients to assist you in the Big Fairtrade Bake has now closed). Thanks go to University Catering and all the volunteers who are supporting this initiative.

University members could guess the Fairtrade ingredients in the cake to be entered into a prize draw to win some Fairtrade goodies (please note this competition has now closed).
The Fairtrade cake contained Fairtrade vanilla, Fairtrade sugar, Fairtrade chocolate, Fairtrade honey and Fairtrade cocoa powder. Additional ingredients included eggs, fondant icing, flour and a touch of cream.
