I completed my MA and PhD in Translation Studies at Durham University. My research focuses on the cognitive process of translation revision, drawing on theories from cognitive psychology, translation process research and reading research. My PhD project, ‘Probing into the Translation Revision Process from Cognitive and Behavioural Perspectives’, triangulates eye tracking, keystroke logging and cue-based retrospection to elicit data, and adopts quantitative and qualitative analyses to gain insights into the cognitive process of human translation revision and post-editing. I joined the School of Modern Languages and Cultures in 2014, and also act as an external examiner for the School of Languages and Area Studies at Portsmouth University. I have been a professional freelance translator and interpreter for 9 years in the UK. I am a full member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (MCIL) and a Chartered Linguist (CL Translator).
