Sir William Luce Fund

The Sir William Luce Memorial Fund was established to commemorate the long and distinguished career of Sir William Luce GBE, KCMG, DL (1907-77) in the Middle East during the era of the transfer of power.
The Fund is a registered UK charity, number 1106077 under the patronage of Sir William's son, Lord Luce GCVO, DL, KG and administered by a committee which meets quarterly at Durham University.
The Fund awards an annual Fellowship hosted by Durham University to a scholar conducting research on those parts of the Middle East to which Sir William devoted his working life.
The Fund also supports a series of conferences and seminars on political change in the GCC States.
These activities have produced a series of papers published by Durham University
