Combined Honours

What We're Looking For

Above all we're looking for someone who

  • Wants the breadth that the Combined degree offers
  • Has a real interest in several subjects, and/or a field that combines them, such as international affairs, childhood, crime, globalisation...
  • Looks like the independent-minded sort of person who will relish the chance to build their own programme of modules
  • Has strong academic potential, not necessarily shown in conventional ways
  • Maybe someone who relishes the chance to 'think outside the box' of any one conventional academic subject.

We welcome students with A-levels, and combinations of A and AS-levels. We welcome qualifications such as Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers and IB which are already broad-based. Many overseas students find the Combined degree a natural successor to the International Baccalaureate and similar programmes. We welcome students with Access qualifications.

Many part-time students find the Combined degree an ideal framework for their studies.
