Biography

Alejandra Gutiérrez is a freelance pottery and finds specialist and an Honorary Research Fellow at the Department of Archaeology, University of Durham.

She has worked in the past for Cotswold Archaeological Trust as Research Assistant. She is a member of the Medieval Pottery Research Group and of the Finds Research Group. Her particular interests include medieval pottery from the Mediterranean, especially Spanish tin-glazed ceramics, and the study of finds from medieval and post-medieval contexts in Britain.

Alejandra has published a variety of research papers, including a book on Mediterranean Pottery in Wessex Households (12th to 17th centuries).
