Wolfson Workshop - Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) Research Methods

The Wolfson Research Institute in collaboration with the ESRC North-East Doctoral Training Centre at Durham are pleased to host a workshop on Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA).  

Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) is a case-orientated method concerned with applying set-theoretic logic to the understanding of casual complexity.  The workshop will include an introduction to the method focusing in particular on its logic of inquiry and will provide examples of its application to a number of public policy issues.

This workshop will be ran by:  Professor David Byrne, Professor in the School of Applied Social Sciences and Dr Jonathan Wistow, Research Fellow in the School of Applied Social Sciences.  There will be an introduction from Rebecca Maier, NHS Engagement Manager and Dr Adetayo Kasim, WRIHW Statistician, Wolfson Research Institute for Health and Wellbeing.

This workshop is open to Wolfson Fellows, Wolfson Postgraduate Associates and Postgraduate Students.

Wolfson Research Institute - Coffee Morning

Join us on Monday 3rd December 2012 at 10.30am in the 'Street' where Mark Booth will welcome PG Associates to the Institute and explain how to make the most of the services available.  WRI Fellows and residents of the Institute are very welcome to attend the coffee morning as usual and join us in welcoming the PG Associates to the Institute.
