About the University web site

Web Acessibility

It is University policy (as well as good practice) that all web pages hosted by the University''s web server comply with international guidelines on web accessibility.

Many accessibility issues are addressed by the templates and functionality of the content management system, however, it is important that content added to the pages also complies. Guidance on the writing of accessible content is provided by the web team during the process of creating official pages, and further online information may be found on the ITS web pages (at http://www.dur.ac.uk/its/web/accessibility/).

Authors of 'non-official' web pages will need to consider all aspects of the accessibility of their web pages. Online guidance is available at http://www.dur.ac.uk/its/web/accessibility/ but if you have particular queries, the ITS web team will be able to advise (email itservicedesk@durham.ac.uk to contact the web team).
