Personal Development and Support
The College provides support for postgraduates through the Student Support Office. This includes the Master, Professor David Held; Vice Master & Senior Tutor, Dr Richard Lawrie; Bursar, Michelle Crawford; Chaplain, Revd Richard Whaite, and the Assistant Senior Tutor, Dr Mark Shaw. We also have a small team of Postgraduate Mentors. Appointments and further information on welfare and support issues are available from the Student Support Administrator (email@example.com).
There is also a wider support network within the University to help to support you during your time at Durham.
The University Disability Support Service offers support for students with disabilities of all kinds. We strongly encourage students who have been offered a place to contact the Disability Support Service before arrival, so that you can discuss any appropriate provision that we can make during your time at University.
The Counselling Service is a team of trained and experienced practitioners that offers help to manage any difficulties that are impacting students' successful engagement with their studies and with University life.
The University also has a network of Chaplaincy and Faith Support that offers spiritual guidance and signposting to students of all faiths and none.
