Durham University Pension Scheme
This scheme is currently consulting on proposed changes with effect from 15 February for a period of 60 days. For more information go to the DUPS Proposed Scheme Changes page.
The Durham University Pension Scheme (DUPS) is a final salary pension scheme (commonly known as a defined benefit or DB scheme) operated by Durham University for its contracted staff on grades 1-5.
Contributions are made by both the employee and the University as employer.
If members of staff wish to take up membership of the scheme they must opt in.
Membership is made available through a salary sacrifice arrangement (Pensions+) to enable staff and the University to save on National Insurance contributions.
