Technician Commitment

Dr Sam Nolan

I am Assistant Director at the Durham Centre for Academic Development. With over a decade as a Physics researcher and teacher, my career evolved following roles in the Foundation Centre and CAROD to have a stronger focus on adult education. My scholarship interests include widening participation into HE, virtualisation of laboratory learning; augmented reality and the use of active learning pedagogies to enhance student engagement. For the national impact of my work, I was awarded National Teaching Fellow status and a Principal Fellowship of the HEA.
