Room Booking

The primary use of teaching rooms, during term time, is teaching and not as meeting rooms. This means that food/drink is not allowed in any centrally controlled teaching rooms during term. Any booking requirement for food/drink is to be directed to Event Durham and they will endeavor to allocate a venue in one of the colleges.

Teaching Activities

Any room requests for teaching activities linked to a module should be directed to Timetabling through your departmental Timetable Coordinator in the first instance.

Non-Teaching Activities (in Term time)

To make a one-off booking of a centrally bookable classroom during term time for non-teaching activities, please complete the form at /student.registry/staffroombooking/.

Student Information

Please use the links on the left for information about room booking. Individuals responsible for booking venues for a society are expected to complete room booking training each academic year to ensure compliance with the Conditions of Hire. The room booking training is valid for that academic year; it does not carry over into the next. To request access to the training module use the Student Room Booking Training link on the left.
