Undergraduate Study

We are one of the most distinctive Sport and Exercise Sciences departments in the UK. We are passionate not only about improving sport performance, but to reducing inequality, promoting social justice, and ensuring better health and wellbeing through sport, exercise and physical activity.

This is reflected in the content of our courses, making our students distinctly prepared for both the present and the future. You can choose modules from natural and social science courses as part of a flexible and cutting-edge undergraduate programme.

We are a collegiate community within a Russell Group University. Cohorts are purposefully smaller than other universities so that you receive personalised, tailored support from academic staff.

Our staff, known around the world for the work they pioneer, are passionate about delivering high-quality teaching. Nationally, we’re consistently a top 10 UK department for sport and exercise.

It is no surprise that employers globally identified our Department as a World Top 25 source of the most employable graduates in the Sport Sciences (QS World Ranking Employer Survey, 2020).
