The protection of nature continues to be at the heart of our concerns and Celtic Titles (like its predecessor, Highland Titles) responds in an original way. Combine environmental protection with a brilliant idea combining participatory investment and fun, how not to crack and become Lady or Lord of Ardmore?
Highland and Celtic Titles, preserve the environment and become Lady or Lord
In 2006 was born from the mind of Dr Bevis, member of the Zoological Society of London, and his daughter Laura a project as ingenious as it is adorable.
In order to protect natural spaces and reserves, they offered to sell plots of land in order to finance the maintenance and preservation of these natural spaces.
Gradually, the Highland Titles project came to manage two nature reserves in the Scottish Highlands. One of the ingredients of this success? The proposal for buyers to become Lady or Lord! Admit that Tom, Lord of Glencoe, it’s banging!
Slievekirk Wood Estate in Northern Ireland
But however, Scotland does not have a monopoly on protected areas! This is why in 2020, the team bought the Slievekirk Wood estate in Northern Ireland. Slievekirk Wood is a forest near the town of Derry in the Faughan Valley.
If the titles change, the project remains the same. Offer everyone the opportunity to acquire a plot of Slievekirk Wood (from one square foot, or approximately 0.1m2) from € 48. In addition to becoming Lady or Lord of Ardmore, you will help preserve the domain’s ecosystem.
So yes, the plot is small, but we find the concept of a souvenir plot, defined by the Land Registration Act of 1970 as having “little chance of being acquired, except for the pleasure of owning them or for sentimental reasons. or for commemorative purposes ”. And the payment money for the plot helps manage the nature reserve, and provide habitat for endangered species like the red squirrel.
A good idea, therefore, fun, and above all ideal for preserving ecosystems that really need it! And then it allows you to give yourself some holiday ideas … darling, do your business, we’re going to Northern Ireland to visit the family plot!
Treat yourself (or gift) a parcel of Slievekirk Wood with Celtic Titles
Treat yourself to (or offer to) a plot in Scotland with Highland Titles

The most VIP of the Greek islands wins this summer a new hotel with impeccable design. Located on the bay of Ornos, a stone’s throw from the beach, it is the fine team of Studio-K (to whom we owe in particular the restaurant OPSO in London) who imagined its architecture and Studio Bonarchi supported by Vangelis Bonios the decor.
Hotel Kalesma in Mykonos
Hotel Kalesma in Mykonos
Organized in the style of a traditional Cycladic village, the 25 suites blend into the vernacular landscape populated by olive trees, lavender, vines and bougainvillea. Inside, the decoration flirts with the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, focusing on the essential but while achieving the tour de force of being warm. The ebony-colored floors are softened by woven bohemian rugs. The furniture oscillates between large, immaculate sofas and small benches in light wood. Hanging on the hill of Aleomandra, there are also, for those who prefer the inter-self, two villas refreshed with private pools where to enjoy all the advantages of this brand new little Eden.
Hotel Kalesma in Mykonos
For those who love marine activities, the concierge organizes scuba diving lessons or trips to the sea on the mystical island of Delos. And for the more anxious, the place offers yoga classes on the terrace, intoxicated by the scent of the Mediterranean garden and the sea spray, but also relaxing massages.
Hotel Kalesma in Mykonos
The icing on the cake, the restaurant Pere Ubu makes your own bread in a traditional wood-burning oven, and offers a menu that gives pride of place to mezzes (creamy tzatziki and sea urchin tarama served with warm pitas, grilled vegetables, etc.), fish in a salt crust or even well seasoned shells. Also expert in summer cocktails, to sip in front of the sun which gradually disappears into the sea, the seasonal program is particularly encouraging. Book here

Here’s a simple tip to help you sleep better: eat better. While caffeine and sugar are obvious failures because they send mixed signals to your body when it tries to calm down, there are other foods that can help you fall asleep faster. Also, getting a good night’s sleep plays a major role in weight maintenance and weight loss. We spoke with two experts, Amrita Kotak, nutritionist and diabetes educator (@ reallife.dietitian on Instagram; Frieze and Shine on YouTube), and Nyela Kapadia, founder of Workout With Nyela and co-founder of Intermittent Fasting & Mindful Living, on the best foods to eat for better sleep, and the link between your weight loss diet, your hormones and your sleep.
The main foods that help you sleep better
It is best to eat all of these foods a few hours before going to bed, not just before going to bed.
1. Milk
Milk contains tryptophan, calcium, vitamin D, and melatonin, all of which support sleep. Make sure to use a brand that is unadulterated, hormone-free, and preservative-free. A pinch of turmeric added to hot milk turns it into an elixir, as turmeric aids digestion and has anti-inflammatory and calming properties.
2. Almonds
Homemade almonds or almond milk are Kapadia’s favorite foods for promoting sleep because they contain high levels of melatonin, which regulates your sleep cycle. They are also restorative foods, and since much of the body’s repair work takes place at night, they provide a double benefit. Walnuts are also an option as they contain melatonin, serotonin as well as magnesium.
3. Bananas
Bananas are a heroic food day and night. Loaded with essential minerals like iodine, they are also rich in magnesium, potassium, tryptophan, vitamin B6 and fiber, all of which help you relax, fill you up and stimulate sleep. Tart cherries and kiwis also contain high doses of melatonin, making them powerful sleeping pills.
4. Chamomile tea
Kapadia recommends chamomile tea for its calming and sleeping properties thanks to a flavonoid called apigenin, which stimulates GABAA receptors that stimulate sleep.
The science behind sleep and weight loss
The role of ghrelin and leptin
According to Kapadia, “insufficient sleep increases the levels of ghrelin, a hormone that prompts you to eat”. When you sleep late, you feel more hungry, which causes you to binge on late at night. Likewise, a lack of adequate sleep leads to reduced levels of leptin, which is secreted in fat cells and decreases hunger.
The work of repair and reconstruction is done during sleep
“Different hormones that play a key role in regulating fat loss and gain are released and suppressed at different stages of sleep, leading to growth and repair work in the body. The most important are growth hormone and insulin, which are responsible for building and repairing muscle, and glucagon and cortisol, which are responsible for breaking down. Cortisol is the stress hormone, and we can only sleep because it is less secreted at night ….. It is also the reason why we sleep more when we are sick – because it allows organism to build and repair any damage. ”
Lack of sleep affects your brain
When you lack sleep, your prefrontal cortex is affected (which controls alertness, attention, decision making, and cognitive processes) and you tend to make bad decisions. When you’re tired, the brain’s reward center is also activated, making you crave sweets and high-carbohydrate foods much more than when you’re well rested.
How to maintain good sleep hygiene?
Here are Dr. Kapadia’s top tips for getting your sleep back on track.
Eat early and dine light
The digestive system slows down after sunset. Heavy meals eaten late do not break down easily in the body, which affects good sleep. A high protein dinner keeps you from feeling hungry later at night, even if you ate early.
Switch off and relax
Turn off all electronic devices at least half an hour before bed.
Release physical tensions
Stretch your arms out, stand on your tiptoes, and stretch upwards. You can also do yoga poses, such as child pose and forward bends, before moving on to Shavasana.
Create a relaxing atmosphere
Use dim lights after the sun goes down and sleep in pitch darkness. Several times a week, sleep without waking up and let your body decide how much rest it needs.
Soothe your senses
Deep breaths, aromatherapy, rosewater pads, and a pre-bedtime bath with a few drops of lavender can do the trick.

The pastry chef Christophe Michalak, former host of In the skin of a chef (France 2), has just shared a delicious French toast recipe on his Instagram account. But do you know where the idea for this dessert came from?
Historically, and as its name suggests, French toast is stale bread that we did not want to throw away. For economic reasons or because of his religious connotation, wasting bread was socially unacceptable. It was flavored with inexpensive staple foods: milk, eggs and butter.
French toast, the oldest dessert known to date
French toast is probably the oldest dessert known to this day: before it took this name, French toast is already mentioned around -25 BC in the work of the Roman author Marcus Gavius Apicius, About the kitchen according to food columnist Olivier Poels. Already, the base of the ingredients was there: soaked stale bread in milk and fried in oil, embellished with honey.
At 13e century, this bread becomes “Iron bread”, then takes its final name, “French toast”, but it is then only a donut of bread, according to the chronicler. Sugar is added to French toast in 17e century : Henri IV, king from 1589 to 1610, would have been fond of it.
French toast is exported and becomes “French Bread”
The French toast then prized by the aristocracy was exported all over the world and became the English “French Bread”. But beware, nothing to do with “French”, “French” means here in Old Irish ” slice “.
Now that you know (more or less) everything about French toast, here is Christophe Michalak’s recipe, spotted on his Instagram account at the start of the week.
The French toast recipe according to Christophe Michalak
Ingredients
Four organic eggs
400 grams of Fleurette crème fraîche
Brioche, sandwich bread or bread
Sugar
Half-salt butter
How to make the French toast
In a bowl, combine the eggs and crème fraîche.
To cut a big part of brioche, sliced bread or bread and bathe the slice in the mixture, five minutes per side. The thicker the slice, the more it should be left to soak.
In a skillet, caramelize the sugar and butter before cooking the slice on each side, two to three minutes.
Place the pan in the oven and bake at 180 degrees for five minutes. Serve lukewarm.

Saturday September 5, Ford will present in Montpellier the new Mustang Mach-E, a 100% electric SUV which will make a unique appearance in the Hérault, under the lights of the Grim Auto dealership.
The star of the road, with the bewitching dress, confirms in this new version his status as an international icon.
International icon
“The Ford Mustang Mach-E represents a new form of freedom”, announces Grim Auto, which recalls the ambitions of the manufacturer: “The Mustang Mach-E is one of the 18 new electrified vehicles that Ford must offer on the European market. ‘by the end of 2021. The 100% electric Mustang has the ambition to reach a range of 600 km ”.
Ultra-sporty performance
A great autonomy, which more generated by… a fast recharge, according to Ford who affirms that this Mach-E 100% can travel on average 119 km starting from a recharge of approximately 10 minutes on an Ionity terminal. Capacities likely to erase the hesitations of customers and fans of the brand who are still reluctant to take the 100% electric step…
The Mach-E could turn heads, especially since its performance is worthy of a great sportswoman with 100 km / h reached in 5 seconds. In its sportiest version, the GT, the power jumps to 456 horsepower for a torque of 830 Nm.
Dress side, the Mustang remains as attractive as ever. We find on this model the Mustang DNA symbolized by the long and muscular hood, the raised rear fenders, the sharp headlights and, inevitable, as if to support an unforgettable look, the triple rear lights.
A car of the future to be discovered on Saturday.

About ten days ago, information on the price of the iPhone 13 indicated that it would be identical to that of the iPhone 12, whatever the model. Whether the customer opts for the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max, he would have to pay the same amount as those who bought the equivalent models in iPhone 12: respectively (from) 809, 909, 1149 and 1259 euros. This was both good news since many thought that Apple would increase the price of its star smartphones but it is also bad news because, for some models like the iPhone 13 Pro, we could expect an increase. storage capacity for the same price. Which obviously will not be the case. But there is ultimately worse: the price could eventually increase.
The information was relayed by MacRumors which explains why the price of iPhone 13 could be higher than forecast because of the firm TSMC. The Taiwanese chipmaker has indicated that manufacturing its high-end chips will be charged 20% more. This would inevitably have an impact on the price of smartphones, especially those of Apple, TSMC’s biggest customer. MacRumors explains that the increase in chip prices would be effective from January 2022, which can give hope for an unchanged price for the iPhone 13 which will be presented in mid-September 2021 and will be released a few days later. Except that Apple could anticipate this increase by slightly modifying the price of these new phones, between 3 and 5% estimates MacRumors. For prices ranging from 809 to 1,259 euros, those current for the iPhone 12 and those therefore envisaged for the iPhone 13, this would represent 24 to 37 euros more to pay for the customer in the event of a 3% price increase, and between 40 and 62 euros for a price increase of 5%. It is anything but neutral. Even if it could have been still: if Apple passed on the 20% hike that is expected to be practiced by TSMC in January 2022, it would be total drama for customers.

Saturday, October 31, when he had just won the pole position for the Grand Prix of Emilia-Romagna the following day, Valtteri Bottas, from Italy, exchanged from a distance with The Good Life, addressing in particular his passion for watches. IWC Ambassador Schaffhausen, the Mercedes driver (crowned constructors’ champion for the 7th consecutive year the day after this interview) is rare in an interview. So we take advantage!
L’interview lifestyle de Valtteri Bottas :
The Good Life : Is your everyday car a Mercedes too? Valtteri Bottas: Yes, I have a car in Finland, a blue AMG GT S, and another “official” in Monaco, a GLC 63 S SUV.
DATE : Is it more important the design or the engine? V.B. : Of course, I like nice engines that produce a nice sound. But it’s still fun to drive a nice, well-designed car. And I don’t forget the practical aspect… If I drive an SUV it’s because I need room to transport my bike…
Valtteri Bottas wears the Big Pilot’s Watch Annual Calendar edition “Le Petit Prince”, similar to the Big Pilot’s Watch (Big Pilot), edition “Le Petit Prince” Daimler AG
DATE : What is your favorite circuit? V.B. : That of Suzuka, for the Japanese Grand Prix. It’s a good mix, with interesting difficulties, and the first sector is incredible, we gain a lot of speed!
DATE : IWC is a partner of the Mercedes team, you wear a Swiss watch yourself… Which is your favorite? V.B. : The Big Pilot, without hesitation ! Especially the edition Big Pilot’s Watch Annual Calendar for the 150 years of the brand, with the blue dial. But for this interview, I’m wearing the aviator’s watch Timezoner Spitfire Édition« The Longest Flight », created during the “Silver Spitfire, the longest flight” challenge, a round-the-world trip in an old British Spitfire.
IWC is a partner of the Mercedes team in Formula 1. Steve Etherington for Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Ltd.
DATE : How do you explain the proliferation of partnerships between watchmaking and the automobile industry? V.B. : In the world of motor racing, everything revolves around time. I am constantly timed! Efficiency and speed are obsessions, but also the search for new materials and new technologies. Also, people who love cars are often the same people who love watches …
DATE : And what do you think makes a great watch? V.B. : It has to be beautiful, comfortable, reliable and, as I travel a lot, it has to display a GMT.
DATE : This year, you have traveled a lot less … V.B. : It’s true, but it can be a good thing. This allowed us to discover or rediscover circuits, like Portimão in Portugal, or Mugello in Italy. And from a driver’s point of view, it’s also an opportunity to focus even more on the races, and less on the logistics.
Valtteri Bottas and his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton. Steve Etherington for Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Ltd.
DATE : Who in the paddock is the biggest watch enthusiast? V.B. : We see a lot of beautiful watches on the pilots’ wrists, it’s true! I think Lewis (Hamilton, his teammate at Mercedes, Editor’s note) ranks high among the biggest collectors. Despite that, I think I won the palm. I got my first Swiss watch when I was 15 and since then I have bought myself a beautiful watch every year …

Leisure or teleworking? Unveiled during a fairly complex virtual event (no physical conference, or even live broadcast, but a platform with multiple entries, very secure and accessible for a few days to the press) the novelties of the 2021 re-entry of the world leader Samsung are available along two very distinct axes. The brand’s two foldable smartphones, presented at the very end of a short video, attest to this:
On the one hand, the latest version of the brand’s super foldable smartphone and showcase: the Galaxy Z Fold3, soberly cut for the nomadic worker that we do not fail to be, a device available in very “office” tones and matte finish with the goal, often repeated, of “maximizing” our productivity. And on the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G with its lavender, olive, cream, black colors… and even pink, white and gray via the brand’s website. A pretty square look with a very iconic clamshell, with the possibility of matching its front screen to your watch. In short, a decidedly “fun” device for our leisure time.
Solid and styluses
For the mobile worker … the Galaxy Z Fold 3, with stylus holder
The return of the “Totally spies” flip phone
That said, both have it under the hood and are even enriched with extended features. This proves – for those who still doubt it – that the foldable has found its audience and that the pioneer of the genre intends to remain the leader in this market. It should therefore be noted that the main screen of both devices is equipped with a new protective film (it seems) 80% more resistant than on the old models and that this Z series is for the first time certified IPX8, the index le higher in waterproofing. When we remember Samsung’s original setbacks with the first model of its kind, we suspect that this certification sounds like revenge.
Oppo X: how its roll-up screen could upset smartphone reading
Question solidity, always, the new foldables are equipped for the outside of a new material called “Armor Aluminum”, that is to say “The hardest material ever used on a smartphone” and a “gorilla glass victus” glass 50% more resistant than the old one. The whole thing, drum roll, without weighing down the cam since the Z Fold3 gains in passing 11 grams of lightness.
Have style according to Samsung: the very colorful clamshell models of the Galaxy Z Fold3
As expected, lower prices at the rendezvous
For these beautiful machines to work, they obviously have a processor up to the task: a Snapdragon 888, engraved at 5 nanometers and 5G compatible. The two devices, a strong point for gamers and video, have a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Finally, for those who regret the abandonment by the manufacturer of the Note range, the Korean makes the Z Fold3 compatible with two options of styli, including a “pro” to… stay productive.
Microsoft’s Surface Duo is finally marketed in France: what should we think of this dual-screen smartphone?
We know that our productivity comes at a price. Yet had been mentioned here and there on the Web of significant price reductions. Bingo! The Galaxy Z Fold3 is priced at 1,599 euros while its half-brother, the Z Flip3, is sold at 1,049 euros. For the record, the Galaxy Z Fold2 was launched at 2,020 euros in Europe. We can obviously not speak of a democratization of the collapsible machine, but the effort is there.
A “feel good” watch
Another expectation of aficionados of the Korean brand, the rise of the models of its connected watch is also at the rendezvous. Samsung even started this “Unpacked 2021” event with the wrist by presenting the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic. Always with this desire to distinguish between leisure and work style. On the program, a customizable screen “In all shades” and a look « feel good » for the first model, sobriety and austerity for the second. But we will especially note, in addition to the proposal of more than a hundred fitness exercises, an increase in power of this series in terms of health and well-being.
The Galaxy Watch4: a holistic health experience …
The brand even evokes “A holistic health experience”. Clearly, since everyone has their own conception of “good health”, we are offered several ways of measuring it: weight loss, muscle gain, amount of fat, water retention … Finally, and it is a heavy As a market trend, our sleep can be analyzed with, in particular, a snoring tracker and the establishment of a “sleep score” to improve its quality. Opt for safe internet browsing with a NordVPN promo code
Chinese Xiaomi at the cleat
For the more technical part, we will appreciate the full recharge in 2 hours and the autonomy of 40 hours of the battery, but especially a more intimate connection with his smartphone and his headphones. Like the ability to take or reject calls with a flick of the wrist. Available from August 27, these two watches also show lower prices, i.e. 269 euros (from) for the 40mm Watch4, and 369 euros for the 42mm Watch4 Classic.
Realme, Xiaomi, Oppo: what are these new smartphones worth?
Buds 2
We understand, headphones complete the device. Color lavender, olive, white, black … they look like little eggs to slip into the hollow of the ear and allow, announced the manufacturer, an active noise reduction to 98%, but also to choose the level of what we want to hear. They will also be available from August 28 at a price of 149 euros.
Take advantage of the € 1 offer for 3 months with Google
With these four main announcements, which for the most part had already filtered on certain sites, the Korean hardly surprises but seems to build a solid base around devices which many, at the time of their release, were not expensive. In addition, it is at the price level that an undeniable effort is made, especially at the top of the range. The conquest of the market, in all segments, by the Chinese Xiaomi, which has made itself known for its ultra-competitive prices and is now closely behind the Korean giant, is undoubtedly not unrelated to it.

With these four main announcements, which for the most part had already filtered on certain sites, the Korean hardly surprises but seems to build a solid base around devices which many, at the time of their release, were not expensive. In addition, it is at the price level that an undeniable effort is made, especially at the top of the range. Yesterday evening, the Paris-Saint-Germain of Lionel Messi met the Stade de Reims to close the fourth day of Ligue 1. If the meeting offered beautiful moments of football with two nice goals from Kylian Mbappé, the attention of observers was elsewhere. In the stands as at home, everyone was waiting for La Pulga to plant its spikes in the lawn of the Auguste-Delaune stadium in Reims. Lionel Messi, freshly landed at PSG after an entire career spent at FC Barcelona, indeed wore for the first time other colors than that of the Catalan club. For this first warm-up, started in the 66th minute, the Argentinian did not force and did not really stand out. But, his very presence was enough to constitute an event and to make this match memorable.
At the end of the match, viewers and spectators were able to witness the extent of the legend of this sacred football monster when Reims goalkeeper Predrag Rajković came to ask the Argentine striker something very special. The Serbian international wanted to take a photo of his young son in the arms of Lionel Messi. The latter readily accepted. By noting the distracted face and the shifty gaze of the toddler in the photo, surely too young to understand what is happening, we easily conclude that the initiative of the Serbian footballer was less motivated by the desire to please his son. only by his own admiration and fanaticism for the Argentinean. The photo did not fail to touch Internet users when it was broadcast by the Twitter account. ESPN Argentina, further illustrating the Messi “fever” across the world. Problem, however: many people, including some supporters of the Stade de Reims, have expressed their dissatisfaction. For them, this photo is an affront to their club, an admission of inferiority and should not be on a football field. Some have tried to temper this anger by indicating that they understand that Predrag Rajković takes advantage of this meeting with one of the best footballers of all time to immortalize a unique moment. It will surely not be the same when PSG travel to Marseille or Lyon …
