Trials Advisory Panel
Collaborating with Durham Clinical Trials Unit
Durham Clinical Trials Unit welcomes requests for collaboration. Investigators seeking to collaborate with DCTU are asked to complete and submit the following documents and to attend a meeting at which they will present their proposed trial/clinical study to the Trials Advisory Panel:
- TAP proforma
- TAP presentation
- A draft proposal (no more than 10 pages) if available.
Please contact Catherine Frost (email@example.com) to request the documents for completion.
The aim of the meeting is to enable the TAP to understand the research question and to ask about the clinical need for the trial, its importance, feasibility, time commitments, and its potential for funding. The TAP also gives the Investigator the opportunity to learn about DCTU and facilitate a joint decision about whether partnership is appropriate.
DCTU advise that Investigators seeking collaboration get in touch early, and not less than two months prior to the planned funding deadline. This will enable DCTU to provide advice, to ensure that the proposal is scientifically robust prior to submission, and to enable us to work in a collaborative way with all Investigators.
Unfortunately DCTU are unable to consider requests for collaboration following funding.
