Bright Ideas in Health Awards 2015 Winner

(29 May 2015)

The Durham Constipation Service, hosted by County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, was the winner of the Patient and Public Involvement - Making Research Better category at the Bright Ideas in Health Awards 2015.

The award, sponsored by CRN: North East and North Cumbria and AHSN NENC, was a new category introduced to the Health Awards this year to recognise those improving healthcare through patient engagement.

The service is led by Professor Yan Yiannakou, who is the Chief Investigator for Tined lead test stimulation to predict long-term benefit from sacral nerve stimulation in patients with chronic constipation (TiLTS-cc).
