MAVRIC recruits 100th patient

The Manubrium-limited ministernotomy versus conventional sternotomy for aortic valve replacement: A randomised controlled trial has recruited its 100th patient.

The MAVRIC trial is an NIHR funded trial comparing two surgical procedures for aortic valve replacement. The trial started recruitment in March 2014 at James Cook University Hospital.
