In July 2016 the governing Councils of Durham and Newcastle Universities made a decision to transfer the activities of the School of Medicine, Pharmacy and Health to Newcastle University, Faculty of Medical Sciences. The transfer is now complete and the School of Medicine, Pharmacy and Health has now joined the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Newcastle University. The move forms part of the University Strategy 2017 – 2027 which will focus on areas where Durham has the opportunity to offer the greatest regional, national and global impact, in terms of research, student experience and education, and to further build on the University’s reputation as a World Top 100 University.
For all other enquiries relating to activities previously conducted by the School please contact the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health.
If you are interested in contacting a previous School member of staff who may have transferred to Newcastle University you can view more information in the Staff Directory.
