Ethical and Methodological Issues in Research and Disaster Interventions that Cross Borders

The ESRC Project Internationalising Institutional and Professional Practices hosted a conference entitled 'Ethical and Methodological Issues in Research and Disaster Interventions that Cross Borders' at the Lindisfarne Centre, St Aidan's College, Durham on 19 March 2010. The presenters included scholars from India and China as well as practitioners from local emergency teams. Attached are photos of delegates and presenters.

Dr Timothy Sim and Mr Huiquan Chen, two Chinese visitors who came to Durham in March 2010 and presented seminars in IHRR and SASS and gave a paper on disaster interventions at the Ethical and Methodological Considerations in Disaster Interventions and Research Conference in the Lindisfarne Centre, St Aidan's College, Durham on 19 March 2010, gave several gifts linked to the celebration of the survival of those involved in the Sichuan Earthquake of 12 May 2008, to Durham's Oriental Museum.
