Access and Participation
At Durham, we are committed to ensuring that entry to university is based on merit and academic potential, and not social background, ethnicity, gender or other factors. We understand that Durham is a globally prominent, highly selecting institution, with demanding degree programmes. We recognise that many of Durham’s indicators of success can also be barriers to students traditionally under-represented in higher education.
The University’s Access and Participation Plan sets out how we will improve equality of opportunity for underrepresented groups to access, succeed in and progress from higher education.
