Trevelyan College Art Exhibition - Another Field
Exhibition by Morag Eaton, printmaker, of work created in response to three farming diversity businesses.
‘Another Field’ is an Arts Council England sponsored project to explore diversity in farming. The aim of the project is to introduce the concept of farming diversity to a wider audience.
Through screen printing, etching, monotype & pochoir printmaking, Morag visualises how farmers are engaging with diversity in response to changing markets in uncertain economic times.
She worked with 3 farms who are demonstrating economic diversity through a range of different approaches: ‘From You to Ewe’ at Milliaries Farm in Sorbie, Dumfries and Galloway; ‘Ogilvy Spirits’ at Hatton of Ogilvy, Glamis, Angus and The Barn at Beal Restaurant, Coffee Shop, Bar and Campsite at Beal Farm, Berwick-upon-Tweed.
A period of time was spent in residence at each farm producing preliminary work to be developed in the studio and at Northern Print print workshop, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
