Eduroam available at Durham

This month Durham joins the list of organisations which offer the Eduroam facility provided by JANET (the UK Joint Academic Network). Eduroam enables members of one University to connect to the local wireless network when visiting another University in order to gain access to the Internet.

This means you can use your CIS username and password to access the wireless network at other participating institutions across the UK and Europe as well as some locations in Canada and Asia. Equally, visiting staff and students from participating institutions will be able to use the wireless network in Durham without the need for a CIS username and password.
