The Observatory

The Observatory are a group of critical friends drawn from a diverse range of non-academic backgrounds. They contribute to our work by;

• Providing a wide range of different perspectives to make our research better
• Helping us to make our research relevant, accessible and impactful out in the real world
• Holding us accountable for doing work that is rigorous, ethical and inclusive

The group is organised and run in collaboration with the group members using a co-production approach. They get involved activities such as reviewing documents and funding applications, helping develop research questions and projects, and building external partnerships. Membership of The Observatory is reviewed annually and new members are recruited through public advertisement in our newsletter and social media.
