Aljawharah Alnasser: Security Solution for Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) Network

1:00pm, E246

In recent years, vehicles became able to establish connections with other vehicles and infrastructure units that are located in the roadside. In the near future, the vehicular network will be expanded to include the communication between vehicles and any smart devices in the roadside which is called Vehicle-to Everything (V2X) network. V2X network causes many challenges due to heterogeneous nodes, various speed and short connection time, where conventional security mechanisms are not always effective. Consequently, a wide variety of research contributions has been recently presented on developing security solutions whilst considering network requirements. In this talk, we demonstrate the existing security solutions for vehicular networks with a focus on V2X network. Also, we present and evaluate the current security methods.
