Development of the Teaching and Learning Toolkit and NPD Analysis and Data Archive Support
A research project of the School of Education.
This project is being run in conjunction with the Wolfson Research Institute for Health and Wellbeing at Durham University with total funding of £488,971 and runs from March 2015 to February 2018.

The project has two main aims:
To update and extend the Sutton Trust-Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) Teaching and Learning Toolkit with new evidence from research as this becomes available.
To undertake follow-up analysis of the impact of EEF projects from the EEF data archive, with updates from the National Pupil Database when available, which can support a cost/benefit analysis and long-term impact of different research based approaches to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.
A further aim is to develop a methodology to understand the relative impact of different EEF projects as part of a predictive model of intervention and pupil attainment in England.
This research project will build on the methods used in the creation of the Sutton Trust Pupil Premium Tookit, and then extended in the Sutton Trust-Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) Teaching and Learning Toolkit to maintain and further develop an accessible web-based summary of research evidence for schools seeking information to help them decide how to allocate their resources, particularly to support the learning of disadvantaged pupils.
