A research project of the School of Education.
The DevalSimWeb project is designed to improve the quality of higher education in four Latin American countries through the development of the evaluative competence of teachers and students. It seeks to develop interpersonal skills (critical thinking, creativity / innovation, teamwork, autonomy, etc.) as a way of helping students complete their university studies. It also seeks to foster the development of an integrated workforce in the region by promoting information technology and communication through social networks and knowledge.
The project is led by the EVALFOR Research Group at the University of Cadiz in collaboration with Durham University (United Kingdom), the University of Antioquia (Colombia), the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Ecuador Ibarra, the University of Costa Rica and the Salesian University in Bolivia. The project is funded to 1.2 million euros by the European Commission’s ALFA III programme. The purpose of the ALFA III programme is to promote higher education in Latin America as a means of contributing to economic and social development in the region.
