Summary
Dr Yaodong Wang is an Associate Professor and an active researcher working on energy systems (using sustainable, clean and renewable energy) at the Department of Engineering, Durham University, UK. He has over 20 years’ experience working on research projects as Principal Investigator (PI), Co-investigator (Co-I) and Researcher, (10 multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional) including: biomass gasification, anaerobic digestion and combustion; biofuel or biomass trigeneration and cogeneration with energy storage; energy systems such as biomass/coal thermal power plants; renewable energy systems (wind solar; biomass, water/hydropower); advanced cycles to reduce emissions from energy systems (Miller Cycle petrol and diesel engines; Flameless Oxidation to reduce NOx emissions from gas turbine and power plant); biofuel petrol/diesel engine; organic Rankine cycle; thermal energy management in processing industries; building energy saving using passive and active methods.
