Miss Sijia Wei

Biography

Sijia Wei is a PhD student at Durham University Business School under the supervision of Professor Jason Shachat and Dr Jinrui Pan. Sijia received her BSc in Economics from University of East Anglia. Further she received her MSc in Insurance and Risk Management from Cass Business School, City, University of London, and MSc in Behavioural Economics from University of Exeter with distinction.

Sijia's current doctoral work is related to Behaviour Operations Management with a focus on inventory management under cognitive stress. Her research interests also lies in the fields of behaviour and experimental economics.

Research topic/thesis title: Inventory Management under Cognitive Stress

This research is particularly relevant to current issues in supply chain management in humanitarian disasters and armed conflict. In particular the study investigates the impact of cognitive load on decision maker performance.
