Biography

I have studied life-long education during my undergraduate years in Japan, getting several teaching certificates of Japanese language for middle school students, and also the Japanese language teaching certificate for foreigners.

Since 2005, I have been teaching Japanese at several universities in China and the UK. After eight years of teaching in Ningbo University, I taught Japanese in the Language centre at the University of Nottingham, for two years, and I was the Japanese team coordinator for most of the time.

I began teaching at the University of Durham from the autumn of 2016, convening Japanese Stage 1 and 2 in the Centre for Foreign Language Study.
