Biography

Giusy Stott is the Italian Language Module Coordinator & Teacher and LFA Italian Teacher at the Centre for Foreign Language Study.

As a student, Giusy commenced a degree course in “Lingue e Letterature Straniere Moderne “ (MFL) at the University of Messina, in native Sicily, with a brief spell at the University of Central Florida, in Orlando, following a scholarship awarded for academic achievements.

She then moved on to the University of Northumbria, in Newcastle, graduating with a BA (Hons) English Studies degree.

Giusy accepted a placement at the Cambridge University Press as part of a post-graduate project and subsequently worked for Microsoft and Nike whilst based in London.

She then started her teaching career in the North East and prior to her appointment at Durham University, she worked as an Associate Lecturer for several local education establishments, gaining extensive experience in the 16+ and the Adult Learning Sector and a proven track record of top grades in both GCSE and As Levels.
