Emily Lok

“As an undergraduate student, I studied Philosophy and Psychology. This combination of subjects allowed me to look at topics from both scientific and philosophical points of view. As well as completing a Psychology project looking into students’ opinions towards mental illness, I also completed a Philosophy dissertation in my final year, which aimed to answer the question of whether artificial intelligence could ever exhibit genuine creativity. The depth and breadth of my course has opened my mind up to the complexity of human nature, reflecting my interest in people. Having volunteered with disadvantaged individuals whilst at university, this course has furthered my understanding of others, which I believe will aid me in a possible future career in Human Resources, specifically in helping to increase equality and diversity in the workplace.”
