Confident Wellbeing Conversations for Managers

Aim of the session

To equip managers and team leaders with an appreciation of the benefits of having wellbeing conversations, provide a practical structured approach to managing the interaction, and recognise what sign-posting and/or referral may most be appropriate.


1.To understand what a ‘wellbeing conversation’ is in the context of the role of manager, supervisor, team leader.

2.To recognise the potential benefits of holding such conversations with team members

3.To describe a structured process to decide on best course of action when supporting a team member (sign-post and/ or refer, record)

4.To use the IGLU model as a conversation tool to confidently structure conversations with team members

5. Know what referral and sign-posting options are available and most appropriate for a range of wellbeing related issues (physical and psychological)


The external trainer, Dave Algeo will deliver the session via Zoom and an invite will be sent out prior to the session.

Who is the Course suitable for?

Managers, supervisors and team leaders working with individuals and teams and having responsibility for supporting their performance and wellbeing.
