In-house Coaching

In order to enhance the development of all staff some 60 members of Professional Services staff have undertaken Institute of Leadership and Management development in coaching and mentoring. They have formed a bank of “in-house coaches” and are available for all staff to access. They take on coaching assignments in addition to their main job role and responsibilities. We will endeavour to match people with relevant knowledge and experience with an individual who can benefit from that relationship, in a formal yet voluntary arrangement. Coaches will not be matched with a coachee in the same department or anyone with home they have a close working / personal relationship.

The aim of the coaching process is to assist individuals to reach their full potential as described by Megginson, 2012: “The coach encourages people to reach their full potential by encouraging self-belief and self-development. Self-belief gives people the drive to achieve their potential. Self-development gives them the means.” Coaches work with their coachees on a 1-1, confidential and voluntary basis to help address specific work-related challenges or issues relating to career development.

Requesting coaching

To register your interest in working with a coach, please complete the online registration form. This is part of an online administration tool to assist us identify an appropriate Coach to suit your objectives and all data entered will be held confidentially.
