Keep Learning

KEEPING LEARNING, as we pivot to deliver digitally can also improve your mental wellbeing by boosting self-confidence and raising self-esteem, helping you to build a sense of purpose and helping you to connect with others.

Even if you feel like you do not have enough time, or you may not need to learn new things, there are lots of different ways to bring learning into your life.

“ Education is our pole-star. Everything we do in is driven by teaching and learning. We exist to help every member of staff become the best teacher they can, to help every student achieve their full potential.”

Professor Alan Houston, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Education

Durham Centre for Academic Development (DCAD)

DCAD bring together all academic development activities across the University. They combine lecturer, student and researcher development in a single unit. DCAD centre staff work across units to share and embed skills in enhancing learning and teaching, curriculum design and assessment, supporting international and non-traditional students.

DCAD are keen to discuss any aspect of your teaching and student learning. They offer a wide range of support - everything from informal chats to full courses leading to Advance HE accreditation (HEA fellowship).
