Upgraded experience coming soon – DUDE is ready to roll

As part of an ambitious programme to upgrade, protect and improve Durham University’s IT services, we’re delivering a much improved service to student and teaching computers this summer.

When you use a University managed computer such as those in libraries and computer classrooms or those used by staff, the way it looks, feels and works is all part of a managed desktop environment. The desktop service students currently use, NPCS, is soon to be replaced by a modernised and upgraded service – the Durham University Desktop Environment (DUDE).
