Durham named one of the world’s most international universities
(30 January 2020)
We’ve been ranked joint 30th among the world’s most international universities in a new league table.
The Times Higher Education (THE) named us as one of the world’s best for having a high proportion of international students and staff, for collaboration with universities worldwide and for our strong global reputation.
Durham is recognised as a globally outstanding centre of teaching and research excellence.
Highly sought-after graduates
Our staff and students come from over 130 countries, creating an outward-looking, globally-minded and inclusive University.
Our research spans the globe including partnerships and projects in Africa, Asia and North America.
Combined with our all-round student experience, this makes our graduates among the most highly sought-after in the world.
Global reputation
We’re ranked amongst the world Top 100 universities in the THE’s World Reputation Rankings 2019.
Five of our subjects are ranked in the Top 100 of the 2020 THE World University Rankings by Subject, including two in the Top 50 (Law and Arts and Humanities).
