Durham launches its first ever MOOC
(21 November 2016)
Durham University Business School has launched its first ever MOOC (Massive Open Online Course). If you’re looking to find out all about open innovation, then this new free online course could be for you!
In today’s world, the development of new products and services is not confined within one organisation or indeed one country. To succeed, businesses must be willing to work with others, to spot and develop ideas – a model known as open innovation.
Starting on Monday 28 November, our new Open Innovation for Competitive Advantage course is all about how to find ideas for innovation from the outside world – for example, suppliers, competitors or customers – and integrate them into your own supply chain, to develop new processes, products and services.
The course in association with FutureLearn and offers insight and research into how an organisation, regardless of its location, can harness the latest thinking in applying open innovation to achieve competitive advantage.
If you’re interested, you can find out more and book your place here.
The course is being delivered by Dr Christos Tsinopoulos, Director of Masters in Management Programme and Senior Lecturer in Operations and Project Management at Durham University Business School. Christos teaches on MBA and MSC programmes and his research interests are in open innovation across the supply chain. You can find out more about him here.
