Alumnus Dr Zu'bi Al Zu'bi has been appointed Dean of the Faculty of Business at the prestigious University of Jordan.
Zu'bi, who gained his PhD at Durham University Business School in 2008, was appointed to the role of Dean in August, following a lengthy selection process.
The University of Jordan's Business School was founded in 1965, the same year as Durham's, and boasts more that 7,000 undergradaute and postgraduate students across its seven academic departments. In addition to the main campus in Amman, it has developed a new centre in Aqaba.
Speaking of his appointment Dr Zu'bi comments: "I am a very proud alumnus of Durham and particularly the Business School. I believe that my appointment to this role is another example of how DUBS successfully prepares its graduates to be constructive members of society and leaders of the future. The high calibre of DUBS graduates is certainly difficult for employers to ignore."
Professor Rob Dix, Dean, Durham Business School added: “I am delighted that Zu’bi has achieved the post of Dean of the Faculty of Business in Jordan. It is excellent to see our PhD alumni progressing so quickly.”
