We are delighted to welcome the Ives Ensemble back to Durham for another weekend of breathtaking feats of musical innovation. The first concert includes some breathtaking microtonal works by Tenney and Lucier, alongside a wonderful canonic masterpiece by Clementi, Baillie’s innovative reimagining of environmental sounds in an instrumental fabric, and Winther-Cristensens refreshing textural flair, in using conventional instruments to make the sounds of the night visible.
