Dr James Weeks wins British Composer Award

James Weeks has won a British Composer Award for his work Libro di fiammelle e ombre at a ceremony at the British Museum in London on Tuesday 4 DecemberThe work was the winning item in the Chamber category, where it was shortlisted alongside works by James Dillon and the late Oliver Knussen.

The piece, scored for 6 solo voices, was premiered by Dr Weeks’ vocal ensemble EXAUDI under his direction at Wigmore Hall, London on 1 April 2017.
