School of Modern Languages and Cultures: Italian Studies
Welcome to the Department of Italian at Durham University.
The Department of Italian at Durham is first in the country for employability of its students.
At Durham, students receive support to bridge the gap between school and university (see our School Engagement and Outreach programme ), learn to master written and spoken Italian, and engage with the literary, artistic and historical traditions of one of the world's most fascinating cultures. Our course produces graduates who are adaptable, culturally rich, confident about speaking Italian in all situations and highly valued by employers.
