Requesting a copy of an article through the inter-site copy service
This service is available to all university members and is used to obtain copies of journal articles which are held in another site. For example students based at Queen's Campus can use it to request articles from Durham library journals and Durham based students can use it to order material from journals held at Queen's Campus. This service is not intended for shipping material between libraries in Durham.
To request a copy use the online request form. Fill in the details of the article you want copying, and read and acknowledge the copyright declaration by typing YES into the box. Articles will be scanned and supplied to you via your Durham University email address. Follow the instructions in the email to access your article. Please check your email regularly after requesting an article because you will only have 14 days from the time the email is sent in order to open the document.
There is a charge of £1.00 per scanned article and this charge will be added to your record when the item is supplied.
If you wish to request an article which is not held in our collection please use the Document Delivery Service.
Part-time and distance learning students can request copies of articles and chapters of books through the Copy Service for Part-Time and Distance-Learning Students.
